How to play

  1. The market runs for 6 days (12 in Season mode). Everyone plays each phase at the same time and the most cash at the end wins.
  2. Forecast: check the weather, the news of the day and how much each product is wanted. You also get a secret, true piece of gossip: tell everyone… or make one up.
  3. The truck: buy up to 4 boxes (3 units each). Prices change every day. Leftover fruit and food sells for −₡1 the next day and then rots; coffee, crafts and milk fudge never spoil.
  4. Your stall: pick a spot on the street (footprints show the foot traffic), a price for each product (cheap, normal or pricey) and, if you like, a hook card from your hand. If two pick the same spot, the one with less cash keeps it.
  5. Market day: shoppers (tourists, grannies, students and chefs) walk by, look at nearby stalls and buy wherever suits them best. At closing time you see your sales, what rotted and the Town Bonus for last place.
  6. At the end, goods that don’t spoil are worth half their price and there are funny awards (+₡2 each). Tie: fewer hooks used wins. With 2 or 3 players, computer vendors fill the street.

Market Day is a strategy party game for 2 to 16 friends on their phones: each day you buy from the truck, choose where to set up your stall and what to charge, then watch shoppers stroll down the street and decide. Secret gossip, hooks like the speaker or buy-one-get-one, fruit that rots and a comeback for whoever is last. No downloads, no sign-up.
