How to play
- Someone in the house ate the last tamale. The suspects are the beans in your room (topped up with relatives like Aunt Chela, Cousin Kevin or Firulais the dog). Each suspect was in a different place, at a different time, doing a different thing.
- The evidence is public: for example, "Tamale husks were found on the ROOF". Whoever was there is the culprit. Every phone gets secret gossip from the relatives with clues: read them out loud or pin them to the corkboard.
- Together, fill in the board (✓ yes, ✗ no, ? maybe) for each suspect: place, time and activity. The clock is Grandma on her way home: 4, 5 or 7 minutes depending on difficulty.
- When you think you know, someone proposes the accusation: who did it plus 2 extra questions. It locks in once the majority agrees. Then you watch the night replay and the culprit sneakily eating the tamale.
- Team stars: ★★★ if you get everything right with at least 1/3 of the time left, ★★ with 1 extra, ★ for just the culprit; get it wrong and Grandma scolds everyone. There is a daily case to share without spoilers. With the Party Pass: hard mode, Christmas, Wedding and Beach themes and 16 detectives.
Who Ate the Tamale? is a co-op deduction party game for 2 to 16 friends on their phones: the suspects are you and your friends, everyone holds secret gossip, and you crack the case by talking before Grandma gets back. Generated cases with a unique solution, a shared board, a clue corkboard, a shareable daily case and an animated reveal. No downloads, no sign-up.
